Doing it Doggystyle: Snoop Dogg’s Cocktail Recipe

Snoop Dogg has been sipping gin & juice with his fans for over 20 years. Now the rapper and TV personality is celebrating summer by sharing an updated recipe which brings new life to his signature cocktail. It’s called the, “Neva Left,” which is also the name of his latest album. Always busy, Snoop is also taping the second season of his hit show, “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.”

Q. Congrats on the new album. We first met you “sippin on gin and juice” back in the day. We know you still love gin, but are you fancier with the juice mixtures nowadays?
A. Thank you. Thank you. I’m very proud of the new album. “Neva Left” really pays tribute to my roots. I always keep it 100 and stay true to who I am, so of course I am still sipping on gin & juice. I even have a new recipe cocktail for the album, “Tanqueray Neva Left”— just in time for summer baby (recipe below).

Q. Who makes the better cocktail, you or Martha Stewart?
A. Hands down, Martha does. I’ve learned a lot from Martha in the kitchen and on mixing cocktails. She definitely helps elevate the cocktails and gives it the extra fire. She even made these fancy ice balls to add to my signature cocktail the Tanqueray No. TEN Laid Back. It gives the drink a little something, something.

Q. Give us your best advice for entertaining.
A. Music and people are key. One things for sure if you’re entertaining with the crew, you gotta make sure you have your bar stocked with Tanqueray No. TEN and have the music just right. A gin & juice punchbowl will do just the trick. It’s easy to make and just right for a large group, so everyone can enjoy! Make sure your DJ or playlist is on point with the latest beats.
