My Favorite Event: the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

There is no party like a Veuve Clicquot polo party. This year, on June 3rd, the brand celebrated their 10th anniversary of the iconic event in style. Neil Patrick Harris served as the host. Alicia Keys put on a post-polo concert at Liberty State Park, where the event is held.

The Classic holds a special place in my heart. How can I ever forget, way back in 2008, during the inaugural celebration, getting to chat with Prince Harry, kicking it – literally, with Madonna, all while watching co-host Nacho Figueras, who is also the face of Ralph Lauren, being the polo pro that he is in all his glory during the match. Also, I adore the Classic because it isn’t just about the sport, it’s also about the fashion. To celebrate this anniversary, Hublot created a commemorative watch worth over $17k. Fendi partnered with Veuve Clicquot to create a bag charm which retails for $400.

As I looked back at my wardrobe choices in past years, I can’t help but smile at my big hats, wedges and bright dress choices. The year, I went with a dress designed by Eliza J, Jimmy Choo denim wedges (I learned the hard way during my first polo match: no heels – just wedges), Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses and a Gucci bag.
