Thanks to my career, and through friendships I’ve developed over the years, I am blessed to travel to fabulous places and attend fun events. I want you to come along with me, here’s this week’s recap.
You know when New Yorkers mass exodus to the Hamptons, summer has officially begun. We kicked it off in style at the not to be missed wedding of my friends, pr maven Kelly Brady and writer, content strategist Daniel Rosen. They were married on the beach in Montauk. The wedding had so many personal touches. Their dog Guinnie the Poo was escorted down the aisle. Delicious food was served family style at the reception. There was even a pizza truck to carbo load after a night of dancing. Models Ashley Hart, Jessica Hart, Jessica White, Julie Henderson, photographer Terry Gates, influencer Cipriana Quann and musician Jon Stone all attended.
I literally got off the train from the wedding and went directly to Madison Square Garden for a New York Liberty basketball game. If you have never experienced a WNBA game, you are missing out! It didn’t hurt that my girls and I got VIP treatment. Before the game, we hung out in a suite which was filled with great food, cocktails and conversation. We were then escorted courtside where we watched the Liberty players beat the Seattle Storm.
The Apollo Theater’s Spring Gala, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, was one big party filled with of course, great music. CeeLo Green, Sheila E. and Charlie Wilson were among the performers. A Second Line parade led the way to the beautiful after party where we ate, danced and sipped Belvedere cocktails.
I got to play hostess with the mostess by co-mcing the Urban Tech gala along with Ted Lange. This year we honored Valerie Jarrett, Vicki Fuller, Don Lowery and Hannah Bronfman. I’m on the board of Urban Tech and have hosted many past galas, but this year was extra special because my mom flew in to support.
My mom came with me to the Hamptons to celebrate Maison Margiela Fragrances new REPLICA ‘Beach Walk’ bath line. We were with a great group of people. The highlight was definitely horseback riding on the beach. We stayed at the beautiful Surf Lodge in Montauk. In the evening there was a fabulous reception followed by dinner.
