Like a Boss, 25 Park: Insight From Top Movers & Shakers

It isn’t about where you start in life, it’s about what you do with your life and the impact you make. In this series, we ask simple questions and get real answers from people who are leaving their mark in the best way possible on the world.

I first started following @25Park a couple of years ago on Instagram. I happened upon the account on a day where I was feeling particularly: lonely, moody and uninspired. As I clicked thru post after post, my bad mood lifted. I was actually laughing — a big turn since I was about to cry an hour before. I didn’t know the woman who ran @25Park, but I knew I wasn’t alone in how I felt.

Flash forward and I’m now grateful to call Alison Brettschneider, aka THE 25 Park, my soul sista’. In addition to running her successful social media accounts, Alison is also a motivational speaker, clothing designer, has a weekly podcast and has a book on the way. This mother, wife and friend answers our simple questions by giving her very real answers:

Q. What or whom represents love to you and why?
A. As I get older, my mom and children are truly what I think of when I think of love. Friends sadly come and go. Men break your heart, but moms love you unconditionally and are always there. As a mother, every decision I make I think of my children. There is nothing in this world that even holds a candle to my love for them. There is literally nothing I would not do.

Q. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?
A. Check on my kids and check my Instagram, both first and last things.

Q. Fill in the blank: as women, you wish we would do more_______________ .
A. Things to empower one another and lift each other up. I can’t stand seeing how women treat one another.

Q. Do you have a hidden talent?
A. Um, I’m a mom. I have many. I have the ability to do anything I have to do without notice or experience in a split second. I also am a great photographer. I never miss a moment. My kids call me the “mamarazzi.”

Q. When do you feel the most beautiful?
A. When I’m driving; the windows are down, my music is blasting and I’m free!
