Year-round: Pieces Every Woman Needs

I love fashion; I just don’t love shopping. Maybe it’s because I get to raid showrooms and play dress up for work daily. During my downtime, the last thing I want to do is stress over what to wear, or completely worry about changing out my wardrobe for the seasons. So, I keep a few pieces in my closet year-round which I swear by.

The Jean Jacket

You can take the girl out of California, but you can’t take the Cali out of the girl. My jean jackets are my best friends. Pair them with skirts, drape them over maxi dresses, throw them over workout clothes, under a leather jacket or rock yours with black pants. Whatever you do, don’t you dare put your jean jacket away!

Leather Jacket

A leather jacket can be a pricey investment, but worth it since you’ll have it for years. It’s obvious why this piece comes in handy during the cold months, but even on some spring nights and when traveling during the summer, your leather won’t let you down.

The Basic White Tee

This tee makes for simple living during the hot months. It’s also easy to dress it up or down. Pair yours with leather pants, a pencil skirt, chunky cardigan, or your jean jacket. Finish off the look with stilettos, edgy flats or sandals. Can we say tres chic?

Scarves

Scarves are not just for the winter. In the spring and summer I use my scarves for everything: as beach coverups, as dresses, skirts and belts.

Black Pants

Black pants are everything. In fact, most of my black pants are jeans. You can get away with wearing black jeans to work and parties because they look timeless. Plus, let me be real, black is definitely flattering on those days I want to at least “feel” a little slimmer.

Timeless Flats

A stiletto does a woman good, but sometimes you have to give your feet a break and want to still look stylish while doing so. I adore my black patent leather flats. They are comfortable, cute and dare I admit it: sexy!

Bright Bag

Since I often times go for muted tones with my clothing choices, I like to add pops of color with my purses. Sometimes I spend a lot on them, and at times I spend a little, but I usually stick to one rule: make them bright.
